I SIT HERE CONTEMPLATING

I sit here contemplating
Of thoughts, dreams and meditating
Of silly sentimental memories of past
And silly stupid dreams of hopes dashed
In their part they had to play
For plans to work to this day
I see the reasoning of why it had to be this way
For planned life's journey to stay
I have so much to thank you for it had to be
It took a while for me to see
Not every path of soul mate meeting
Is easy, some may last but others fleeting
Life is an experience, a challenge, a task
But has it good, I hear you ask
Nothing is every wasted in our paths, we grow
And in what we reap, we therefore sow
But we have within us everything we have to know
To take us that bit closer to perfection
Our hearts will guide us in the right direction
All we need is trust and love
All guided by the loving hand from above
